January Update

January has been one crazy month for our family. We had a wonderful Christmas break (Josh and I were both home for 2 weeeks! Yay, married teachers!) filled with lots of family and rest- right as it was ending BAM! we got an offer on our house! This was quite comical as me and Josh both had come to the realization that our house may never sell so he redid the garage and I redid Zeke's room for Christmas. ?

We had a 4-day weekend shortly after Chrismas break so we decided this would be the best time to move. The house we had our hearts set on in Moultrie sold so we talked to the developer of our neighborhood who agreed to build the same floor plan/dream home for us! The entire process has been a such an amazing journey with everything working our perfectly! Our contracter/ new friend, Larry also offered us an amazing rental house to rent while our house is being built. The best part?? It's one block from our future dream home! So... 2 weeks after our offer, we quickly packed up our lives and moved to our new "temporary" home in Moultrie! *mental note to self*: for future moves, start packing WEEKS in adavance! ?

Last week, we officially closed on our old house and we have now settled quite nicely in our rental. Although most of our belonging remain in boxes, there is something quite free-ing about living with the bare necessities! Josh and I both are obsessed with walking by our dream home and seeing the progress. A week ago, we had a wooded lot, next came dirt and now, we have the beginings of what will soon be our home!

I hope to use this blog as a way to document the progress of our home and our adventure through the process. ❤️️

We finished our last day of January with a family dinner at our new favorite local hibachi place and bath time with my favorite boy!

I hope you all had a blessed and beautiful January. Through the caos and craziness, we have such a blessed, purposefull life.

Love- D
