It's Time for Paint Colors!

I can't believe it! It's already time to  choose paint colors.

After we started building, I became an HGTV fanatic. I've never really watched many "home" shows, but it's safe to say I am a Joanna Gaines wanna-be now! ;) I really like how she chooses really soft, neutral colors with the occasional accent.

The painting may be done this week, and I will update with actual pictures, but for now- let me know what you think!

I found this lovely collection of paint swatches on theharperhouse.com, thank you Pinterest! This is the general scheme that I am shooting for.

First off, I chose SW Rain Washed for the Kitchen and Laundry room. I love the light airy feel that this color gives off.

This color will also be going in the Master Bath and the  Kids' (one day) Bathroom!

For the master, I wanted to go with a "greige" but I've always wanted a slightly darker Master bedroom than the rest of the house. I feel like this gives off a romantic feel. ;) I chose SW Mindful Gray- it still feels light but a little darker than my choice for the main living areas.

This is an example of SW Mindful Gray I found on Pinterest. It actually reminds me a lot of our bedroom decor.

For the main living areas: Living Room, Dining Room, Bonus Room, Entry Way- I chose SW Aloof Gray. This gray is still in the "greige" category but has a slight light blue undertone that I think will tie in really well with the Kitchen's SW Rain Washed.

Here is an example from the Pinterest of SW Aloof. So excited about this beautiful neutral!

Lastly, the Front Door! I've had this color picked for years! LOL! I've always wanted a bright Front Door and now that we will actually be in a house where the front door is visible (yay!) I can finally have my crazy door. ;)

So- my "Whole Home, Joanna Gaines Wanna-Be Color Scheme" is SW Rain Washed, SW Mindful Gray, and SW Aloof Gray.

I am so excited to see what these colors will actually look like in our dream home!

I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions!

What are your favorite paint colors of all time- or maybe a color we should all stay away from??
