Annie Sloan || Chalk Paint || Review
As we prepare for the move, I've been slowly redoing some of our furniture. Most of our pieces are chalk painted, but we still have a few of Josh's older pieces that needed to be redone.
Last week, I redid his dresser using a matte spray paint and the same distressing/ wax routine. I decided spray paint is no longer for me! (Long story!?)
So, this weekend, we made s trip to Boston, GA to eat at our favorite little pizza joint, The Buzzery! As Zeke finished is nap, I walked around a few of their stores. The best place to look for redone/ antiques! I found a cute little shop that had TONS of Annie Sloan chalk paint. I've heard great things about it, but I've always just used Home Depot brand matte and glaze for my projects. So... after they explained the whole process and even let me try it out, I took the plunge and purchased their brush, sand sponges, waxed, and paint! I vowed to never spray paint again, so this was my saving grace! I was so impressed with how easy the process was and it is very flexible. I went with a very distressed look but could have easily stayed with a more simple approach. Check it out! Let me know what ya think :)
I'd love to hear any recommendations you may have for your DIY furniture redos! Also, what are your favorite Annie Sloan colors? Hope you all have a blessed week- ❤️Dap
