Family Beach Trip- Day One
It’s offically time for our annual Dale/ Banks beach trip. My parents have owned the same timeshare since I was a little girl... the neat thing about timeshares is that you see the same people year after year. I’ve literally seen babies turn into teens and teens into families each year. It is so neat and I just love the home-y feel of coming back each year.
Zeke has been begging to go play in the “saaand” for a few weeks now and we’ve been telling him that we had a special week planned for some serious “saaand” playing! He asked us if were there yet about 3 min after pulling out of the driveway... 20 min later, he was out cold- so I guess he got tired of waiting. Haha!
The boys both handled the trip so well! It’s about a 4 hour drive and they slept about 99% of the time. We stopped about 1.5 hours away from the beach and Zeke was dry!!! I did a little happy dance and he used the potty. I was so proud of him!! For his reward, he was able to pick out a little surprise toy egg and it was the neatest thing! Of course- we ended buying three 🙄 because you have to collect ALLL of the baby dinosaurs. 🤦🏼♀️
After we loaded back up, both boys finished strong. Zeke even tried out his headphones (so maybe one day we don’t all have to watch Cars 1000x).
We unloaded the van as fast as we could and put our suits on for a few minutes of saaaand! Zeke laughed and giggled the entire time! It is so awesome to see your kiddos enjoy God’s creation. I just sat back and thought about our Heavenly Father handpicking the most beautiful things for His children. The beach just has a way of reminding me of just how magnificent God is.
Here are a few pics I snapped of our few minutes one the sand before dark. I can’t way to capture all of these special memories this week!
Hopefully I’ll keep up the blog posts this week so that I can document each day of our trip. I want to remember every single moment- so excuse the daily posts. 😝
