June + July | Summer in Review

Wow- boy did this summer go by so quickly! This was our first summer as a "two-teacher" family... it was so neat to have a couple of months of nothing but family cuddles and vacations. We truly blessed to have the opportunity to stay home for the summer. Here are some highlights from our summer together!

We started the summer off with our first beach trip to Crawfordville to see our best friends!

Our little monkey sure did enjoy the sand! He wanted to run away from the tent constantly towards the water! I have a feeling we will be running after this little guy for years to come!

Our summer days were filled with many days at the neighborhood pool! We finally invested in a puddle jumper so that little man can enjoy the pool a little more.

We added a new member to the family in June. We will always love our first Prius, but it was time for some more room!

We broke in the new van by taking our first trip to Atlanta to see family and to take Z to his first Crossfit Regionals! He lasted a good 2-3 hours each day but started getting restless, so we cut each day short but Dad still had a great time!

Our longest trip of the summer came a few weeks later as we made our way to Mississippi to see Grandma Ruby and Grandpa David. It is such a blessing to see Zeke with his Great-Grandparents. We picked blueberries, went to a dog show, and ate some of the best souther cooking there ever was!

We celebrated Father's Day with a wonderful church service and snuggle time with our favorite Dad!

The beginning of July brought our much anticipated Dale family beach trip! We had such an awesome 2 days or so where we were able to get in a quick little photoshoot... unfortunately, shortly after arriving we caught a stomach bug and were pretty much out of it for the rest of the trip. Although we were pretty miserable, we still enjoyed time with family and the beautiful view from the beach house.

We found a bubble machine at Target and our little guy was a HUGE fan! Still trying to perfect our homemade bubbles recipe, so if you have any suggestions, please throw them our way!

We finished up the summer with a beach trip with my side of the family in Daytona! I have been taking this same beach trip since I was a little girl, so it is so special to share these same memories with Josh and Z!

For Josh's Father's Day gift, we surprised him with a trip to Harry Potter World! I had such a fun time following him around and snapping pics! He was like a little kid at Disney the entire time!

We spent the last week of summer relaxing, cleaning and preparing for the next school year. Josh and I will be teaching at the same school this year and Zeke will be attending one-year-old preschool! We are so excited for the changes this school year and are so blessed to have had such a wonderful summer with family and friends!
